Backlight bleed?

Just got myself an MX279H from Amazon that too me has horrible bleed. Is this too much? Would you return it? Picture taken with brightness at 40% and ISO 400 so this is pretty much what I see IRL with the lights on.

Bonus LG29UM55 which LG said was "normal": Y6lTpug.jpg

 

Oh and it's not IPS glow in either cases as it does not change with viewing angle.

seems a bit much, try returning it.
