I am a total noob when it comes to water cooling. I would like to know if these two items will work together or if their is a better pump also would I need 3/8 fittings or 1/4 fittings

that pump is fine for a starter kit and Don't use Frozen CPU they are Out of Business

 

Beyond that the Tank is fine.

also since your Pump is 3/8 line you can just Buy 3/8 Fitting in the G 1/4 thread pattern for all your parts
Or you can Change the pump top and Pick whatever Line size you want. in all reality. 3/8 vs 1/2 tubing makes Zero difference.pick what you like best
