Posted July 6, 2015 So I bought my PC two extra Corsair fans to help the air flow in my PC, however I noticed that the fans are constantly at full speeds even when I turn it on. I'm not totally worried about the noise but it just bugs me. One of the fans is plugged into the motherboard and the other is plugged in via a molex connector but is still running at constant speed. Any help? I'm not really into buying a fan controller. Many thanks Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/401432-computer-fans/ Share on other sites
 Posted July 6, 2015 Hey, You will need to set the fan curve / rpm etc in the BIOS for fans attached to the motherboard header. The one connected to just a power source ie a 4 pin molex will just spinn at full speed, 12v, unless you put a speed reducing resistor in the circuit too.
