I have seen some computers that have both inside them simultaneously but I don't know how that would work? Like a K6000 and two Gtx Titans is that even possible? If not does that mean the builds I saw are stupid? If it would work how though?

Well the titan is a pretty decent workstation card on its own

You'd have to reboot go into the bios and configure which is your primary pcie slot every time you want to change between gaming and rendering. unless I'm wrong

Entirely possible, I've seen people game on SLI GeForce cards while they render on the Quadro card at the same time.

You just select the primary graphics adapter in the game launchers/in the .ini/cfg files.

And this works problem free with kepler too?

You could just keep the GeForce as your video output and use the Quadro as a Tesla, as a mere processor.

The stuff that I seen was with a fairly recent Quadro, probably kepler, maybe Fermi, and a 680 or a 670 on the GeForce side.

Yep, you can't SLI two different cards, but you can certainty use a Geforce card and a Quadro card in the same machine.

The Quadro would be used essentially as a processor, whilst the Geforce would be used for display purposes. This allows people who use their PC's as workstations (and their gaming machine) to do both without reduced performance. Technically, you could render a video on the Quadro whilst you game with the Geforce, with little performance drop.

Multitasking to the max.

| PSU: Corsair RM850 | Case: Fractal Design Define R4 |

What would you have to do in terms of driver or to get it to work?

Goodness me, sorry it's taken me 5 days to reply to you.

You don't have to pull any trickery to do it, the driver supports it. All you need to do is install the latest drivers for both cards, and make sure SLI is disabled. The two cards will then be used when needed in their respective situations.
