Unplug your HDD, install Windows on SSD, replug HDD, reinstall programs

I have the same problem as you do, tried installing 7 on the SSD, fucking thing went corrupt, waiting for 10 to be released so I can put it on my SSD

Alright, Will this keep all my programs (Except windows) on my computer, I have a lot of stuff i do not want to re-install.

you can try to use AOMEI Partition Assistant, which  brings a new function named "Migrate OS to SSD or HDD Wizard", which is especially designed for users who want to quickly migrate operating system from old hard drive to a new one or SSD without reinstalling Windows operating system and applications and it supports MBR and GPT disks. So I finally was able to get a Samsung 850 Evo 250gb.

 

However, my os is currently installed on my 1tb hdd.

 

I am looking for a simple way to ONLY transfer my os to my ssd and not all my information (Which wouldn't fit on the ssd anyway :/).

Transferring a OS from a HDD to a SSD might cause some problems like the SSD being recognized as a HDD and thus be defragmented and TRIM not being enabled. Also some drivers might be in conflict. Cloning can also cause some of the data to be lost and if that data happen to be part of the system files, your OS will crash.
 
I would recommend doing a fresh install of the OS. This will refresh your system, get rid of unwanted files and software and would prevent you from having compatibility issues and driver problems. :)
