Reddit hardware swap?

I'm looking to build a really budget computer over the next month or so, and I've always heard people talking about the Reddit subforum.

My question is, how quickly do things sell on there? Should I be looking a few times a day for the best deals?

Does posting a wanted ad generally provide good results or are scammers usually the ones to contact you?

 

Usually I just go through local Craigslist but there are just tons of dead ads or flaky people on there as of late.

I'm actually more in south bay so I'll try and help you. I mean there are a bunch of touristy things to do in san fran. Golden gate bridge is the structure associated with the city. Ghirardelli Square is pretty fancy and sells really good ice cream. I know that fisherman's wharf and pier 39 are popular tourist areas. Don't trust me though I only go there a few times a year, mainly to the airport.

 

Tomorrow being the 4th of july, I'm not too sure where fireworks are best seen. 

 

Again, I'm not a san francisco person so sorry I couldn't help out that much.

Palo Alto is considered South Bay but I'm from San Jose.
