I am planning to buy the Redragon M601 mouse, but I don't want to buy it until I'm sure that it has decent accuracy. I am using a Logitech m325 now and it is unusable for tracking in Dirty Bomb. I mainly play FPS game like TF2, Dirty Bomb, and CS:GO. No Google search told me what sensor this uses either so I could not infer from that information. Thanks for any help given.

Well, judging from the very low dpi, it is probably an optical sensor. But only the high quality sensors have no acceleration. Here is a spreadsheet of mice with flawless sensors: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZzbKDmFOqsP_ut2RdctD01OEbZzbXol6HLwqVkSmZcg/edit?pli=1 any of these mice will be very accurate, having no acceleration.

 

Edit: Apparently it uses an avago 3050, which is an optical sensor.

Edit#2: Here is some more info on the sensor: Avago ADNS-3060/3050 are older optical sensors that are still present in some mice. These have no acceleration, but under-perform as they have low PCS and Malfunction rates. This

Thanks for that information, just to be clear that ONLY the mice on that list have flawless sensors or the sensors themselves are flawless, as in if I could find another mouse with one of those sensors it would track just as well as the others on the list? I ask because it says on Amazon that the M601 has an Avago sensor, but doesn't say which one it uses. Thanks again.

Thanks and one more thing, The edit says low PCS and malfunction rates, what does that mean in n00b terms, and also it cuts off after saying This. Thanks for that clarification.

Edit: Just found out from a Steam post. How would these affect the mouse though? Would it stop being accurate at the highest (2000) DPI setting?

Any sensor mentioned on the list will be classed as 'perfect'. That means any mouse using these sensors will be fine.

I am pretty sure that malfunction rates would be the speed that the sensor stops tracking at. For instance, some sensors stop tracking if the mouse is moved 2 meters per second, and others can track at 7 meters per second. I had a mouse that stopped tracking at 1.5m/s, and i played csgo and css with it no problem. I am not quite sure what low pcs mean though. I think what matters most is that the sensor has no acceleration. I don't think that the sensor will have issues with 2000 dpi, although i am not 100% sure.

Edit#2: Here is some more info on the sensor: Avago ADNS-3060/3050 are older optical sensors that are still present in some mice. These have no acceleration, but under-perform as they have low PCS and Malfunction rates. This

 

First, the m601 uses A5050, the office sensor which the 3050 is based on.(1250cpi max., very low malfunction speed)

 

Second, 3060 and 3050 have nothing in common, 3050 newer than 3090 and was released around the same time as 3310, altough 3050 is already replaced by 3320.

Also 3060 and 3050 can achieve high malfunction speeds depending on FW, illumination and surface.

3060´s "problem" is anglesnapping, while 3050 is simply "weak", meaning it jitters a lot at higher cpi.(1000+)
