Hi!

So I have reference gtx980 in my windows 10 machine, currently running latest build (10159).

Im having weird issues, when trying to start my pc sometimes screen shows all kinds of colours and cant see any text or anything, but restart always solves the problem. So my question is what couses this problem? Is it windows 10, nvidia drivers, or the gpu itself?

Thanks

Is the cord to the GPU secure? I had this happen to me once with a VGA to DVI cord. It would display purple but then you mave the cord slightly and it was fine.

seems to be secure, I use hdmi. I have this problem like 1 time out of 5 startups, and the it always works perfectly after restart anyways.

Have you tried using a diffrent cord? Plus if its only 1 out 5 its not a big deal. At least it works.

Yeah, I mean when do gaming or anything it works without any problems, its just that login screen where you have to enter your password, and anyways its like 1/5 times when it happens.

At least its not like a major GPU issue or something along those lines  :)

Im still worried what causes the problem. I googled and couldnt find anything similar to my problem. I suppose I'm just gonna wait for final release of windows 10 and nvidia drivers.
