So, today i tried to overclock my new GTX 970 (i must add that im a newbie overclocker) and after 2 hours or so i noticed that when the fan usage increases frames drops (Furmark). The PSU is the problem? (600 w Corsair). And, can someone give me some tips about overclocking ?

well, for one thing, i wouldn't recommend using Furmark when overclocking (it's actually a "torture test" it tries to push the GPU much further than it ever will need to be), I'd suggest something like Heaven or Valley benchmark looping in a window while you slowly increase the core and memory clock speeds with a utility (ASUS GPU tweak, EVGA PrecisionX, or MSI Afterburner) and look for signs of stress (like unusual blotches on screen, "shine" effects).

Then as a final test, run the free version of 3DMark firestrike and look for signs of stress again (they should be more obvious here)

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

I used Heaven benchmark with GPU Tweak but i failed badly, i was getting like 56 fps from the normal 70 avg on furmark.

You can't compare Furmark and Heaven benchmarking fps. It's like saying "ya I get 50fps in the Witcher 3 but I should be getting 130fps like in BF4" What are your OC numbers, mem, core, max voltage, max temp.

You should be able to pass at least 1400mhz on the core.

Here are my numbers but I't might not work out since all GPU cores are not identical. (Using MSI afterburner)

Core Clock = +150 (effective 1478mhz)

Mem Clock = +500 (effective 8000mhz)

Power Limit = %120

Temp Limit = 90c (never goes above 80c but keep an eye out for YOUR temps)

Core Voltage = +0 (automatically boosts up to 1.2v)

Fans Speed = Auto

+142 co

+784 memory

power limit 120%

temp target 80

(just had a driver crash while typing this, dont know if it was from overclock because  iwas using it in the lase few days and no crash occurred)

and why when fan speed increases performance decreases on furmark ? :\

Im totally new to this!

Tone your mem clock down to +500, it might be OC to high.
