Hyper 212 evo installation help

Just picked one up at local store, doesn't seem to want to install the back plate with standoffs so flipped the back plate. Will this cause a short?

Not if any metal is touching anything on the motherboard.

Follow the instructions. If the backplate is made of metal you don't want it to touch the back of the motherboard. Are you sure it's compatible with your socket?

The box doesnt say so, but Ive heard many people say it works for FM1... even the cooler master website...

Was there another version that came out? went on newegg and the other had support on the page for fm2 and the other didn't, and my box only says fm1

Well gonna go see if I can get a return tomorrow, see if I can get a newer version

I'm a little confused as to why it wouldn't fit.. snap a pic if you can and show the issue

I Just installed one of these yesterday. one of the backplates is for intel the otherone is for amd. u pick the one u have and put the bolts in the front and the the backplate. the u use the plate that cross over eachother and put it in the posistion where it lines up with the whole on your motherboard

I only had one backplate, it was a old revision, ill drop my computer off at the local store and see if they can get it to fit, if not we will see other options
