Magic golems and dragons?

So i play Magic the Gathering, and was wondering what recent sets I should get for golems and dragons. i was thinking it was ravnica and mirrodin/phyrexia. Also, any good cards I should attempt to hunt  out?

But it's not pc gaming. it's IRL. I'm talking of the actual card game, not the digital ones. Should that not land it in off topic, being unrelated to pc's?
