No.

If you've to ask it you shouldn't touch it, unless it's a test pc, then go ahead but don't get insane :P

no, but the lower the timings the faster the ram and the higher the timings the slower the ram.

By timing do you mean latency?

yup

No.

so can you tell what would be my limits in a ddr2 running at 400mhz with a timing of 6/6/6/18

they are 2x2gb ddr2 sticks they are supposed to run at 800mhz but the max on cpu-z is 400mhz in the spd tab in the memory tab dram frequency is about 513.7~513.8mhz

in the spd tab there are also other timings on 333mhz 5/5/5/15 and on 266mhz its 4/4/4/12

the motherboard can support up to 800mhz

If CPU-Z is showing 400MHz, then your memory is running at it's intended speed.

Note: depending on which program you at using, it may either show the actual frequency, or the effective.

DDR: Double Data Rate.

The number following (I.e. DDR2, or DDR3): Revision.

The actual frequency is 400MHz, but the EFFECTIVE speed is 800MHz.
