I've been doing some research over the past couple months and looking to build my own PC and wanting to invest around $1250 into a computer that I can use for High end gaming. Honestly having the option to get 4k would be amazing, but not 100% required. This would be my first build by myself, but I've built my current PC with someone else before. Would love some insight or modifications that a more experienced PC Builder would do to my build so far.

CPU - Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth Z87 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory - Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage - Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Storage - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0 Video Card

Case - Rosewill BlackHawk ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply - Rosewill 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Thanks!

Get a core i5 and use the saving to get a better graphic card like the 980 (or the 390x which is actually good for 4k). And get a z97 board so you don't have to deal with the mess of updating your BIOS. Lastly, please stop picking V300 they are terribly slow pick a crucial BX100.

This should be good for 60fps 4K if you turn the settings down a bit. An I7 is NOT needed for a gaming build, and the 980ti is much better than the 970.
