Windows 8.1 Pc Settings Issues

Problem: Pc Settign isnt working correctly. I cannot open my roaming folders or do much of anything that deals with window.

Whaddya mean open roaming folders? Are they not there? You can always do the run cmd pressing Windows Key + R, goes to Run or search it type "%Appdata%" if I'm right should put you right to the roaming folders if I'm correct

Yeah %appdata% gets you into the roaming folder. But whenever i press enter it crashes. The folder doesnt open.

Yes %Appdata% getins you into the roaming folder but when i do that and press enter to go to the folder. The folder opens up for a split second then crashes and self closes.

Either im being hard cored keylogged. because even typing "Roaming Folder" my whole browser closes.

Go to task manager and check for any strange processes running in the background

Cant access Task Manager. Crashes immediately upon start

Reinstall Windows, something is very wrong

How would i do that? im on a laptop.

When did this start happening? You may be able to restore Windows to a point before it started acting weird.

 

To restore your PC to an earlier point in time:

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

   (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then clickSearch.)

2. Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.

3. Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.

4. Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.

 

Well i dont really have a recovery point since my hard drive corrupted about 2 weeks ago and i bought a new window 8.1 disk for my SDD. I was on window 7 but i felt like maybe i should of update to a newer version. So no chance of recovery. Maybe ill wait till window 10 so i can just update to that.

Yeah thats very weird, never heard of it nor have it happen to me, did you download anything ever since your hard drive got corrupted or when it started acting weird?
