Hi guys, why is my mobo giving me a 66 code? I has been working fine til now it asus crosshair v formula z . This only happens when i go to AI SUITE program and change the fan profile to either silent, standard, or whatever i chanfe it to. Theres no other error but just this 1, pc boots up normally and everything perfectly. Mobo manual for this code says "cpu dxe initialization is started" i unmounted the cpu checked it, its looking good nothings broken. Put it back perfectly. Its a fx-8350. The ram stick i unmount them too checked them physically as well sawp them, used 1 stick at the only on diff. Dimm slot to see what happend same code 66 still happening, updated the bios and still same code. I check on my pc propery and bios and its reading the 16g i have on ram. Can memtest help identify the problem? Or what can you guys recommend? I still have warranty from factory tho on all parts but want to see if can fix b4 going the RMA process.thank you. I cant sleep my baby is sick >_<

Have you actually experienced a problem like a crash?

If not I wouldn't worry about it.

No havent experienced any other problem but this 1 the 66 code. I just know that this is no normal

The Q-code displays codes that pertain to a specific state of the motherboard, which are not necessarily errors.  Code 66 is also not listed as an error, just that "CPU DXE initialization is started".  With a small amount of digging, it seems that if there is an error, it may be related to your memory.  Is the memory that is installed on the QVL for that board?

My recommendation would be to ignore it if you haven't actually experience a problem (e.g. system crash or failed boot).

If you are still worried about it, you could give ASUS motherboard support a call, I've found them to be very helpful for tricky troubleshooting in the past, and they know those boards inside out.
