Hey guys! I just finished building a new Mini ITX system in the Silverstone RVZ01, only to find abnormally high CPU and GPU idle and run temperatures. My GPU especially runs idle at around 55 degrees (with 30% fanspeed, at 100% RPM it runs around 47 degrees) and maxes out near 95 degress. My CPU idles in the mid 40s.

I expected higher temperatures than my older Mid Tower ATX build, but these numbers seem a bit over the top. My specs are as follows

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K (3.5GHZ, quad core, etc.)

CPU Cooler: Silverstone AR06

GPU: XFX R9 290X 4GB (EDFD Model)

PSU: Silverstone SX600-g 600W SFX

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16GB kit (2 x 8GB)

MoBo: ASRock Z97M-ITX/AC

Would this be considered normal? An almost all reviews of the case and individual components, they have the temps at close to 20 degrees cooler than my system runs at, but with similar Deltas. As the system is new, I think I'll throw the R9 290X in my old system and see how it runs.

Also, I applied too much thermal paste to the CPU the first time around, but I cleaned it off and reapplied, and that didn't really change anything.

Then it's probably hot in your room. That or You don't have enough exhaust fans up in there.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

My room is around 22. And the case is based around positive airflow (almost all fans are intake). Even then, most people with the same fan configuration are citing lower idle temperatures at least for the GPU. I feel an idle around 50-60 is a bit high, since most people say they get 70-80 at max.
