Starting Youtubers always usually start out with a Blue microphone, I would purchase that and use maybe earbuds for now, or see if you can splurge for a pair of ATH-M50x's now, or in the future.

I want to start doing YouTube lets plays and commentary's. I need a headset with a mic or a pair of headphones and a desk mic (I would prefer headphones). Does anyone recommend any. I don't care about the sound quality of the headset once the mic quality is good. My budget is around 80 euro. I have seen these and I want to know would they be good Razer Kraken: http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Kraken-Over-Music-Headset/dp/B00L0YM9G8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1435331753&sr=8-5&keywords=razer+kraken Logitech G430: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CJ5FPUE/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d5_i3?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=0AHW8EPRAS8GX3AX9M3Z&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=577049067&pf_rd_i=desktop Hyper-X Cloud ll: http://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-PS4/dp/B00SAYCVTQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1435331822&sr=8-2&keywords=hyperx+cloud+2 Blue Snowball: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Snowball-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B006DIA77E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1435331857&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+snowball

Get a good headset and mic

Headsets are generally a waste of money. The only ones I would even consider are steelseries which are still not so great. I say get some reasonably cheap headphones, and a ModMic 4. Remember, the number one thing that makes people not want to watch a video is bad audio quality. Rather spend more on the mic so you actually get listeners, and less on the headphones for now.

I agree with you on this one.

Audio quality has the biggest impact besides the video quality.

This. To be more specific, buy the blue snowball if you're low on budget for now, and either the AT2020 or blue yeti if you can spend more. I'm not sure if the snowball has a earphone jack on it, whereas the AT2020 and blue yeti has it. It's important to be able to hear yourself while gaming, so that you can adjust your own talking voice accordingly.

Yeah can't help you on the headphones as I have not owned many(In fact the only ones I have owned are Skullcandy Uprock $35 on ears) so I can't help you there. but the ModMic 4.0 uni-directional(which I would highly recommend as you don't want keyboard noise) is $50(plus $12 delivery) leaving about $30 for headphones if you are sticking to that budget of 80 Euro/$90.

EDIT: Please no one buy Skullcandy Uprocks. They are the most uncomfortable, bass-heavy, unclear audio equipment I have ever used.

EDIT 2: For context on how good this mic really is, listen to it in context with other desktop mics here: https://soundcloud.com/ltt-mic-test I personally find it much nicer to listen to than the Blue Yeti next to monitor(which is realistically probably where it will be. It has a very low sound floor(assuming you have a good quality sound card(technically ADC)) and has a deep, boomy "AM radio announcer" voice without being over the top. Oh, by the way, the Blue Yeti is three times the price.

Use whatever you have now. No point in wasting money on starting a youtube channel. Just use what you have now and make the videos. If you feel like you'll continue making videos then get something like the Snowball. And please dont buy an expensive mic unless whatever you're doing (youtube for example) is paying for it. Most big youtube channels started out using cheap/inexpensive mics. Mics dont make your content better

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3
