Measuring Room/Ambient Temps

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

I'm thinking less than $100 and, if possible, +/- 0.1 Celsius accuracy. Is that even remotely feasible?

Most of the good multi-meters can do +/- 0.1C of a degree but of course it might not be perfectly calibrated.

Hey guys,

What would be some good ways to measure my room/ambient temperature to a decent level of accuracy?

I read about this little thing somewhere but I'm not a huge fan of having it only usable with my phone: http://www.thermodo.com/

I want to run some tests on different cooling setups/components, and would like to accurately take into account the fluctuations in ambient temperature.

Any ideas or even product names would be greatly appreciated!!

If it needs to be super accurate a properly calibrated scientific thermometer will be the best alternatively a cheaper and easier solution is using a multimeter with a thermo-couple option.
