Hello all. I am really confused by this issue. My motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 Rev. 5) displays my processor correctly while not core unlocking (AMD Athlon II X4 640T Zosma), while unlocking all cores however, the BIOS reports the CPU as a generic "AMD Six-core Processor". I have reset the CMOS more than once, and updated to the most recent revision of the BIOS, and nothing seems to work correctly. It also seems CPU-Z reports the CPU as a "Phenom II X2 B40" and having 2 cores, 6 threads while unlocked. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

when you unlock cores the cpu id becomes bugged out... nothing to worry about. take your 6 cores and have fun.

post your cinebench score in the thread at the top of the page.

But what if I want to validate my CPU and upload the results to HWBOT?

when  you submit and single thread score you do it as a quad core (not unlocked) this includes cpuz validation

when you run a multithread benchmark hwbot gives you the option to select the number of active cores when you input your hardware specifics

Ah okay, thanks. Now I just have to wait for them to add my CPU to their database.

the only way to be sure is to provide the amd part number located on the heatspreader

My part number is ADX640WFK42GR, the regular X4 640 part number ends with GM

im fairly confident your part is a x4 640 not 640t

what does your bios report cpu is when not unlocked. the part number you linked made it pretty clear its a x4 640

any amd part with a T in the part number is thuban core. your part number does  not have a T in it plus you already know its a Zosma core not thuban.

Zosma is just a Thuban with two cores disabled: http://www.cpu-world.com/Cores/Zosma.html
