ever since i've had my PC (company built it, 7 months btw) I have had constant audio buzzing/hissing, when i plug in external hard drives i can here it power up with buzzing, i also here when data transfers. Now i here when i select/highlight things and scroll on webpages now. I use headphones and no matter if i plug it in at the front or plug it in to the mobo at the back. any suggestions?

I had this problem with my old case, and it disapear after I changed to a new case, probably because the cables for the front audio pannel were running along with the SATA and USB cables, on the new case the wires go on different routes, so they don't pic any electric noise.

 

One thing to try is plugging your headphones on the output that is on the back of the motherboard, usually that output have less noise.

its the same amount of noise whether its plugged into mobo or the front. I will have a look at the cables and see what's happening.
