So this reason I made a new background (here's the thread) was because I've grown bored with my desktop and wanted to switch things up and seeing as I'm already doing things with material design I though I might as well make my desktop themed after that as well.

So yesterday I made my background and today I made my icon holder or whatever you want to call it. I'll call it a navigation drawer. Now I've only worked on it today so it's not very polished. Also, to be frank I got bored with it halfway through so it's not as cool looking as I had originally planned but I still think it looks fine and it serves it's purpose.

Here's what my desktop looks like

Here's what it looks like if I click that little icon in the top right

When you click on the buttons for the programs all that happens is that it executes a path for an .exe like so ["C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG2014\avgui.exe"].

It doesn't do anything more but hide the icons.

Sadly there are no animations. I have no experience making animations or using animation software nor did I want to waste more time. So like when I click on the three bar icon the nav drawer just appears instead of having a cool animation. Perhaps in the future I'll do something like that. Idk who knows what my desktop will look like in 6 months or however long it takes for me to get bored of it.

No... I'm not ready for my thread to die, not yet.... nooooo......
