im looking to purchase a new headset for gaming/skyping/music/ect.. my budget is 100$, whats the best over ear headphones i can get with a built in mic?
i was thinking about getting the razer kraken pro

I stand by Trittion headsets.

The kraken are pretty bad.

If you must have a headset get the hyper x cloud 1 the cloud 2 is a waste of money with useless 7.1 surround sound feature and a worse mic.

If you are willing to use a headphone+moov mic setup you should consider the audio technica ath ad500x+ moov mic but otherwise go for the cloud.
