I am building my first loop and I would have ordered a D5 pump. I would like to get a pump top reservoir all in one like this...

I was wondering if you guys had any feedback on these or if you know of any other good ones.

Does liquid have to be returned to the top of the reservoir? I have a ek dual pump with a micro res, but the increased intake is giving me airlock. I've been looking at the 80mm Koolance reservoir, but the cost has been steering me into modifying a Nalgene bottle into a reservoir as it fills up the case nicely.

I'm just wondering, does having a pump combo like this have any down sides? coz right now I'm using an EK x3 250 res and I need to reconfigure my pump placement as i need to have a 240mm res at the bottom, I'm thinking i'd get a pump/res combo so i can mount it at the chassis.

the only thing stopping me is i read somewhere *cant remember where* but i glanced through it and saw something like that it's bad?

Intel 4770k : 4.6Ghz @1.285v | Asus Maximum VI Extreme | Asus GTX780 DCUii OC | Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB @2400mhz| Corsair AX1200i |

Cooling : EK Supremacy Plexi/Nickle | Swiftech MCP655 Laing D5 | XSPC RX360 | EK D5 X-TOP CSQ |

A pump res combo only has the benefits of having a pump top in it. It gives better performance than a completely bare pump.
