Just finished a build, but still have the upgrade itch - looking for advice

I'm thinking that the GPU is the current bottleneck, so I want to see what my options are

Thinking about the GTX 970 vs 980 - or even maybe the 980Ti

Also wondering if upgrading my GPU if I'd also need to update my PSU

a 980 is a useless card. the 980Ti performs on par with SLI 980 for about ~$450 less.

Although to be honest, the FX8350 is also a pretty poor choice.

This is first and foremost a gaming machine for me - if I were to transition over to an intel CPU it would involve too many changes to the system - new CPU, new Mobo - If I can get a large enough gain, I'd rather just upgrade the GPU

And I can definitely OC the current CPU with the cooler i have
