I have everything in and when I put my screw driver on the power pins on the mobo nothing happens. I have tried a different psu and nothing. I tried without a video card and woth different ram and in a dfferent slot as well. Nothing works.

Did you make sure to plug in the CPU plug from the power supply ? Also check if this motherboard needs an update for that CPU.
