Hello everyone. I had to ask a quick question about my power supply. I was wondering if there was a way to get longer cables for my PSU? I'm currently using a Mid Tower case, and with the best cable management I can do the cables just make it to there connectors. I plan on getting a Full ATX Tower in the coming weeks, but I'll definitely need longer cables. I was hoping that there is a way to get longer cables, instead of buying a new PSU. BTW my power supply is a XFX XTR 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply. Thanks for reading.

I would probably go with sleeved extensions at that point for both looks and the extra length that you require.

Get whatever extensions you want, sleeved, colored, whatever :) they come in various lengths and are universal

Bitfenix for example make good ones

So obviously there is no issue to using an extension on an existing power supply right? Any sites you guys recommend?

I use extensions myself, so no problems there ;) If you want cheap ones, get them wherever you can find them locally, if you want the more expensive, yet quality stuff, @modguru here makes perfect extensions - I have a set myself from him :)

No problem at all if you want just basic solid color extensions bitfenix makes some good ones, if you want custom colored extensions as 1Scotty1 has said Modguru is good, another is Icemodz which have pre-made multicolor value extensions also.

Thanks guys. One more question. The extensions I buy, will i connect them to my existing cables, or just connect them to the PSU?

Extensions are connected to the existing cables, if you have a modular PSU, you can also buy replacement longer cables, but that costs a lot more in many cases, so extensions are a better way to go

For extensions they just attach to the end of the current PSU, for fully sleeved cables those go all the way from the PSU to the component.
