Hello everyone.

So I've been poking around here and the web for a while and had mostly found what i want and need. :http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WxR83C

I've seen that the I5-4690k and the I7-4790k are just about the same in the high quality for gaming purposes[a few frames of difference, although at some points it showed jumps of 5-20 frames for just a few moments during heavy gameplay].

The psu might be a bit much, but it doesn't hurt to have more than what you need just in case for upgrades in the future[Like another gpu in a year or so]

My question is,for those who know better,Is this build going to work properly?
And if so,Which case would be best for this?

I'm also planning to add some noctua PWM case fans, but what kind of a case will work? A more roomy case with more space between components or just enough space for the flow of air? I've had my eyes on the corsair carbide air 540r case,as well as the graphite 780t and 760t

As for resolution it would be 1920x1080 or 2560x1440 on a 24'-27' screen

How about this.. Not sure what you were planning to spend on a monitor.. but this is a nice compromise on some other components to get arguably the best monitor around at the moment..

The EVGA PSU is top notch and more than enough for SLI and OCing on.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($219.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 240M 86.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-E/USB3.1 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($128.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($97.89 @ OutletPC)
Monitor: Acer XB270HU bprz 144Hz 27.0" Monitor  ($793.81 @ Amazon)
Total: $2367.04

IMO save a bit and try go for a gsync 1440 monitor..

Also, are you only gaming or streaming or such as well... whats your typical usage style?

It'll be a build for gaming.

I dont want to use any liquid\water cooling, even if leakage probability is quite low,it's not going into my system.

The Fractal Design Define S case isn't in my country,as well as the memory and motherboard.

in that case why use US pcpart picker....

Where you from?

Leakage probability is next to 0 unless you do something silly.but air is fine too..

As for gaming.. do you stream your games? (on twich or anything) do you have many tabs open along with skype and a dozen other apps.. cos if you just play games.. get 8GB and be happy (can add more after if you find your using more) even 1x8gb stick.. performance is the same as dual-channel.. no real effect with todays memory speeds.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

The memory modules are too tall to fit under the NH-D15 in its nominal configuration.

It is barely possible to reach 85% of psu capacity maxing out memory, gpu, and hdd. EVGA 220-G2-0850-XR is arguably a better psu and is IMO a better capacity for the build.

pcpartpicker shows if the parts are compatible with each other, and it's in English.

No I don't stream my games, though I do use the web as well during game-play sometimes

What cpu air coolers would you suggest, then?

I dont have psus from evga,We have from other brands like coolermaster, thermaltake, antec, corsair and seasonic .

PCPartPicker's compatibility checking is not complete and not always accurate.

Pretty much any Seasonic psu is a good choice. Corsair AX, AXi, HX, and HXi are good choices. Their CX line is ok if budget is an issue. Antec HCG, HCG-M, TPC, HCP, and HCP Platinum are generally quite good. Cooler Master V series is good. Thermaltake has the odd unit that is good, but I would go with one of the other brands.

Where are you from? Got a store we can check out for pricing and availability?

I'm from Israel, here anything to do with computers and most systems would cost much more than in other countries, and I wouldn't say there's much of a variety in components.

there are two store lines, Ivory and KSP I can get parts from.

That is why I also search around the web and ask here to get answers from people with experience in these things.

If you're going to be running a 980 TI, a 1080p monitor makes NO SENSE.

1440p all the way.

Ok.. so I would go for the seasonic 760 or 860W platinum PSU from there as it's a superb unit and relatively cheap on there..

For the case, basically anything is fine... narrow down your search by picking a few you like the look of and then go for some reviews..

Generally, Fractal, Nzxt, corsair, coolermaster, bitfinx and inwin are well regarded with NZXT, fractal and corsair having some of the better mid price range selection..

Really is personal preference though..

Also, I'd go for a lower end board.. you don't need one so expensive.. the z97 hero is good.. or pretty much any that you like the combination of look and features.

Also, agree with the above.. you want 1440p 144hz for a 980ti or 1080 go 970 and then have a free upgrade next year with HBM 2.0 and pascal with their top mid range / bottom high range card.. More sense.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P
