I just finished assembling everything outside of the case, and I cant get it to post. I am working with an Z97-AR asus motherboard, 8 gb (2x4) of corsair DDR3 ram, which is compatible, which I have tried switching out with ram which I know works from my computer, and is also compatible. I have a 4790k CPU, and a GTX 970, which I have also tried switching out with an old 750ti which I know works and I keep around for troubleshooting. The reason I think this is a ram issue is that the DRAM LED is on on the MoBo. On the Z79-AR, there is a ram auto-config button, which I've also tried.

Ideas?

They only think I can think of is are you putting them in the right clots? 1+2 or 1+3 unless you're filling all the slots

Otherwise maybe the mobo is DOA. reset CMOS? haha

Yea, I checked that b4 i put them in. I'm pretty sure im doing it right. This is his second mobo, the first one was doa. Its just some crazy bad luck i guess. My only other thought was that maybe the CPU was having some kind of unusual problem which was fking with the ram, or the mobo, but I really dont have any way to test that.
