I am in the planning phase of building a mid range economy build. I have a 2010era alienware with all of the fancy lights, 9gb ram, i7 with oem mother board, etc. I replaced the graphics card it came with, 1gb nivida 5*** HD with a geforce gtx 960 2gb. Not quite the video card I wanted but at the time I only had gift cards to spend on one. What I want to do is build a system on a asus z97-a, 16gb @2400mhz or so. I'm thinking a i5 4690K, 128gb ssd boot and 1tb hdd for bulk. Im not quite sure what size of powersupply I would need. For cooling I'm looking at the corsair hydro 240 and swapping the fans with corsair SP. Plan on putting it all in a fractal midi r2. I want to make the graphics card the weakest piece of hardware. I am an average gamer wanting to play current games at ultra high settings. I do not process video, but I do edit photos from my dslr. Let me know what y'all think. Open to any suggestions.
