Anyway here is my question Asus VI hero or Msi Mpower max board?

 

I cant decided between these to z87 boards 

 

I will be overclocking my cpu, gpu definitely. 

 

and my ram possibly

 

 

My setup will be as follows 

 

Case 

Fractal design Arch xl r2 

 

Processer 

Intel  4670k 

 

Motherboard 

Msi mpower max or Asus hero

 

Cpu cooler

Swifttech H220 with four Noctua NF-F12's 

 

 

RAM

2x4 gigs of corsair vengeance pro ram 

 

Graphics card 

MSI Lightning 780 ( when released)

 

Power supply 

Sea sonic W860 platinum ( over kill i know but i am going to add a second graphic's card and possibly water cool 

 

SSD

256 gig Samsung 840pro (boot drive )

 

Mechanical drive 

750 gig Weston digital Blue (storage drive) ps I all ready have this don't ask  

 

A external dvd drive 

 

Additional fans 

1x Noctua NF-F12

3 x Noctua NF-A14

since you're buying Z87 choose the board that looks the best in your rig, if you don't care how it looks take the cheapest one with all the back panel equipment you want. All the companies have faulty boards, all the companies have an RMA time that sucks or is fast depending on when and where. all the Z87 boards will give you a decent overclock. if it was me, I'd buy the cheapest since that's just me I'm a cheapskate and I know it, yet my components last.  :blink:  quite confusing I know. I should probably sue them for making their products last longer than people expect  :angry:

 

edit: I personally don't like asus boards though. just personal experience, not dissing the brand for anyone else.
