AC3 16xAA = Artifacts

When I turn AA to 16x on Assassins Creed 3 lots of artifacts appear around characters, I can still use all full settings and 8x but this is really weird, does anyone know why this is happening?

CPU - Phenom II 965 BE @4GHz

GPU - Sapphire 2GB 7850 @1050/1450MHz

Case - Zalman Z9+

PSU - OCS ZS 750W

RAM - 8GB Generic cheap RAM @1333MHz

Storage - 64GB OCZ Agility 3/320GB Hitachi 7200 RPM HDD

I had same problems with the same graphics card, in my case updating to driver 12.11 was enough to make the disapear.
