CS:GO Competitive Peripherals?

I have been playing CS:GO competitively for a while now but what really has been a pain is my mouse and keyboard. My keyboard and mouse came in a set, both of them are wireless and it's time to get new ones. For CS:GO specifically, which is the best mouse and keyboard for it? I am asking for recommendations.

 

I already picked out both the SteelSeries Rival mouse and SteelSeries Apex keyboard

g502, any keyboard that is wired is fine, if you have the money, then a cherry mx red keyboard

It does have a good sensor, but it's very heavy and overly complicated.

125g is heavy? i think that was too light so i added some of the extra weight. everyone has their different taste, some is heavy handed and some i light handed

i dont play compedative yet because my friend who i always play with sucks so i don't want to ruin someones game, but in BF4 my skill was 350 i not to long ago (from playing defuse)...

well, it depends if you are heavy handed, if you are and have a light mouse you overaim (not have the accuracy)

If you overaim, you have too high of a sensitivity.

overaim was maybe the wrong word, but i mean you use to much force for a light mouse. i'd sugest OP to go to a store and try the different mice and find what they like

For the mouse:

 

Zowie EC1-A or EC2-A for ergonomic mice. (EC1-A for bigger hands, EC2-A For smaller)

Zowie FK1 for ambidextrous mouse.

 

And basically any keyboard is fine, as long as it's wired.

The G502 is one of my top mice for FPS. Most consistent sensor and you can get used to the weight of the mouse.

 

I came from using Deathadder, rival, sensei, g400 in the past. 

 

I've also played cs competitively in all variations.

It's no coincidence very little pro players use the G502. (In fact I could not find a single one.)

TBH, the sensors in the mice I listed, are just good enough. (They're great)

I understand why most pros opt for a lighter mouse, it was uncomfortable making the switch. Not saying it's the best mouse for comp FPS, just the most consistent i've used.

In the past I have played Battlefield 3 competitively but not to the point where I was actually on a team. M16 FTW! Keep in mind I didn't use the G502 yet as it hasn't been released. 

 

Keep in mind this is my first CS game, CSGO. I bought it in November 2013. G502 not released yet. Bought the G502 in December 2014 and have been using it since. Currently I have almost 800 hours invested into the game.

That is all opinion. I have my G502 max weighted because I like it like that and I am DMG

for keys ive tried cherry blacks and reds, and i prefer reds because they are easier on the fingers for long sessions. but keyboards arent really as important as mice are.

 

so far ive owned the steelseries sensei, cooler master xornet, logitech g100s, and the logitech g502. personally the g100s has been the best contender. i like the g502 sensor but the shape isn't my favorite for cs go. 

 

if i had to get a new mouse though, id go for Zowie. either the fk2 or ec2. the avago 3310 sensors are pretty popular

My opinion is that the keyboard and mouse doesn't matter as much as your headset for competitive CS:GO. I got to LEM easily using my razer lachesis at home and a lenovo mouse when I play at the office. With my headset I can hear people running from almost halfway through Dust 2, allowing me to make effective callouts in locating the enemy team.

 

EDIT: Game sense is paramount. Putting yourself in situations where you don't have to win aim battles is key to swift victory.

Nice, I'm getting into Competitive CS:GO and am also getting a G502

With a Headphone + ModMic combo, you can hear footsteps from people running all the way through Dust 2, from B to Pit.

I personally believe your mouse is just as important as your headset is. Your headset is needed to hear footsteps, it makes a world of difference when you can hear them stomping around and when you can tell where they are stomping around.

 

For the mouse, I have played with a M65. Razer Deathadder and Sensei. I recently purchased the Zowie FK1 and I noticed an immediate difference compared to the others. It gives me smoother and more consistent feel when moving around quickly. I went from Double AK to LE since this purchase.

The real reason why I use the G502 is that it has more than two buttons.

Not really. I get so many easy kills because people are running around making tons of noise.

However. Since I got the Zowie FK1, it has helped a ton in aim duels.

I mean, at Lan people use earbuds, sooo.

Those earbuds they use are quality ones. You won't seem them using skullcandy earbuds at LAN.
