That case is kinda wasted if you don't use it for custom watercooling

Your build seems very unbalanced. If it's just for gaming then there's a lot of parts you don't need, if you cut down on parts you can easily make a cheaper build and have room for a high end Mid Tower case. As so here:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NmhYCJ

                                                                                                                 Setup

CPU: i3 4160|Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE|RAM: Kingston HyperX Blue 8GB(2x4GB)|GPU: Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4GB|PSU: Seasonic M12II EVO 620W Modular|Storage: 1TB WD Blue|Case: NZXT S340 Black|PCIe devices: TP-Link WDN4800| Montior: ASUS VE247H| Others: PS3/PS4

WD back drives are worth the extra 30$ IMO, they are much faster

At 3000$ Its foolish to have 8GB of RAM and might as well have an i7 he gets bragging rights and if hes editing/rendering/CAD he needs the i7 anyway.

The monitor you chose was 1080p (i have it, its great) but he obviously chose 4k for a reason, 1080p is a BIG difference from 4k

The case isnt a waste, it hides all my drives in the back, looks fantastic and fits my huge air cooler. for 95$ its the best case in its price range.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Vz3sFT150$ cheaper than his, its a better build and is within his budget.
