Hello, I'm fairly new to PC building, but the time has come for me wanting to build a gaming PC that is good for the games I want to play.  the games I play are Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and definitely the upcoming Fallout 4.  However, I have no idea what parts I should get without going too overboard, any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at this one it's in GBP but the parts should still be available where you are, this build does not include an OS as that will be up to you but with this build you should have room in your budget to get one

I forgot to mention, I'm excluding the OS from my budget.

I would suggest something like this if you are using a 1080p screen.

if you plan on doing any video editing/rendering etc then you can go up to an i7 4790K and 16GB Ram.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($219.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($96.00 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Crucial BX100 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($89.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card  ($329.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1024.91
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Is this with or without overclocking?
