I am Planning to build a powerful, compact System that will be used for both games and other work use. I am building this so that it is quiet, and I don't need to worry about upgrading to far in the future. I also don't want parts that will fail me in the next 2 years or so.

I will be using the NCASE M1 v4 released quite recently from NCASE and that build is here.

As you can see I have yet to decide on the CPU Cooler and Ram, I would appreciate comments on what you think of the build so far, and what other parts (cooler and ram) I should include with respective reasoning to the product selected.

As you might have realized already, the 980 Ti hybrid from EVGA hasn't been released yet so in the meantime ill be using the MSI 970 GPU while I wait for the release of the 980 Ti hybrid.

I am based in Australia, so keep that in mind with product availability.

(The pricing of the NCASE M1 in the link includes shipping costs, hence its higher price)

Surprised by way you pick: Server grade cpu, but gaming oriented motherboard...

I heard a xeon would be nice as it includes i7 like performance at a cheaper price, what do you think i should use instead? i don't intend on overclocking.

What will be the main goal of the system?

Gaming or Work?

If you're gaming more than working, you could simply go with 4790K. It has the same structure as that Xeon, but with higher clockspeed.

Don't know about pricing.

If you need your computer to do heavy calculations and it may not shutdown at any time due to an error. Look into a server grade motherboard and maybe some ECC ram.

it's actually a great choice. I was a bit surprised by the cost, then I remembered that it's in AUD.

I'd swap the SSD out for an 850 evo or if your budget allows, an 850 pro

if silence is your primary concern, there might be some modding in order to get it to be silent. power supplies rarely have the best fans, but that's something you have to play by ear (bad pun I know) when you get it, and if you think the fan needs replacing with a better fan, then the modding begins.
