Hey everyone, me again.

Got a little bit of a dilema on my hands. First off, let me explain my office.

In one small corner, less than 4 x 4 feet of space, is storage crap. So boxes and extra junk for the rest of the home.

In the corner across from it is nothing, just a blank wall, but at the top of the wall, I have a wind tunnel fan mounted.

In another corner is the door to the office, which is cut off when you enter the room straight ahead by a wall, which on the other side is a built-in desk

On the other corner, where my desk is, well, my computer is there, as well as my 4U server under my desk (Its a Dell Poweredge 2900)

There is also another computer in the room, which is directly underneath the ONLY vent in the room

---This computer has no problem, as it doesn't run hot, just a small computer for my wife

My computer is a renovated Dell Precision 390 (Workstation with 16GB memory, dual xeons, and a GTX 650)

The room is a 13 x 9 foot room with a window at the far end between the corners with the storage crap and window tunnel.

Alright, so my dilema.

The room is a toasty 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. Very toasty.

I live in an apartment, so AC work is not an option, and I'm not allowed window units.

I've thought about a portable AC unit, but, alas, it requires a vent to the outside, which is not allowed.

What are my other options in terms of cooling? I try and keep the door open during the day, which helps a lot, keeping it down to high 70s low 80s

I've got about 6 to 8 more months here, so a non-expensive solution would be awesome. But I know it may not be releastic.

Thanks for the help.

A note to all, I do have AC in my apartment. It runs on a normal schedule and cools the place just fine.

A portable AC unit would be nice, but you must have a hose connected to the outside for a place to vent the hot air.

My Dell Poweredge 2900 runs my business. Multiple Hyper-V machines running for things such as my billing, remote software, and test environments.

It is a beast. But does push out at least 80% of the heat in the office.

Watercooling is more efficient at moving the heat away from the source and dumping it into the environment it does not result in the source producing less heat.

I use a floor standing AC that I vent out a door or window. One is confused  why venting out of a window would be out of the question :-/

Leave a window open and use large fans..

Undervolt / downclock everything to reduce the heat output....

This is a 4U server that I have and thus cannot be cheaply water-cooled.

I live in an apartment complex that prohibits the use of a window unit or windows from being open for a vent or anything attached to the opening.

sorry, comment on watercooling was in reference to the posts above, it would not help reduce heat output.

you either need to reduce the heat been produced by underclocking, letting disks spin down, new more efficient hardware etc or remove the heat from the environment.

since you don't seem to be allowed useful access to air for some reason you can't effectively cool the space.

bar putting a massive tank of water etc to act as a heatsink you really are out of options in your current space.
