should i upgrade my gpu as the new 300 series rolls out? or maybe snag a 200 series as the 300 series deflate the 200? or would the 6990 be okay for either a ultra-wide or 1440p monitor in the near future? i play games ranging from league all the way to dark souls and battlefield 4. i max everything out as of now ( except titan fall which eats my vram alive 3.5/ 4 gb of vram at idle in game) please quote so i can see your response. oh and if you are interested the 6990 works and may be for sale for the right price.

i have a dell xps specs are as followed:

cpu- i7-2600

ram- 12gb generic

gpu- amd 6990 (refernce... not enough room between sound card for arctic aftermarket cooler.)

psu- thermaltake tr2 700 w (*brand new)

hdd- 2 tb seagate 7200rpm, 750gb seagate 7200rpm

monitor- compaq s1922a

keyboard- razer blackwidow ultimate

mouse- logitech g400s

well my vram actaully gets fully used up at 2x msaa insane presets everything else high atg 1366x768 is why i ask. it causes alot of stuttering and fps drop which sucks . thats kinda why im wondering if i should sell to get a more powerful gpu.,

with that kind of budget an R9 290x or a GTX 970 will run titanfall almost maxed out at 1080p

1440 it will do okay just use 4x msaa it will run at 60fps no problem
