Barebones Laptop

Where can I find one of these?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

barebones laptops don't really exist, as making them so small necessitates that everything be designed specifically to go together. the only laptops of this sort are huge, clunky ugly things that are outdated by now.

usually I just buy a laptop, install an SSD, upgrade it to 8GB of RAM and go about my day. there just isn't any savings in it to try to find a barebones system.
