Some Questions about RAM

Just got some new ram and I have a few questions about RAM speeds. First, does underclocking ram due to mobo limitations effect performance vs ram that wasn't underclocked running at the same speed. And 2nd, where would I find what voltages and other settings I need to know to manually clock my ram? For some context I bought 16gb 2400mhz Corsair vengance ram because it was the same price as the 1600mhz model. I'm using the Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3 mobo and it supports memory speeds up to 2133mhz. Thanks for any help in advance!

o, i think you are going to have to change the timings manually. Look up the cas times

voltage and timings are always on the RAM itself or on the box.

And is there any correlation between the speed and those things? Because I am underclocking the ram still.
