Painting a GPU

Hello Everyone,

I am about to buy my first build and I was just making sure that it would work, and be OK to paint the red part of the GPU that I buy, link below which is to the MSI GTX 970, white.

Also, any recommendations as to what paint I should buy, as I said above, it should be white.

Also will this void the warranty? If so, should I install it into the system and run it for a certain amount of time before painting it?

Plastidip is what you should use, If you have to RMA it, You just peel it off, Plastidip is pretty much liquid rubber, It doesnt stick very hard to plastic.

It should be just fine since you would only be painting the shroud of the cooling assembly. It would void your warranty unless you can get the paint off. Plastidip may be your best bet since it is easily removed, but I would recommend detaching the cooling shroud from the pcb if you go with the plastidip just so avoid getting any overspray on the card itself.
