Windows/OSX install/computer setup question(s).

Go to solution Solved by Micky Love,

Download OSX with your current session. Clean install with a usb key (easy Google search, only one command in terminal to copy/paste),

Clean install OSX (don't forget to wipe your hdd in the disk utility, you can access it after you have boot with your usb key), when it's done

(osx ask for your infos), just press the power button for 10 sec. till it shut down... Voilà ! at the next boot, the new owner/user will see the setup

new account page, like a new Mac.

For Windows, it's the same thing actually...

I have several older computers that I'm trying to sell. As part of the deal I want to offer a fresh install of the OS, but I don't want to go through the whole user account setup process so that the new owner can set it up (like when you buy a new computer from a retailer).

So, can I/how would I install the OS without setting up an user account? I've tried looking it up with Google, but I can't find anything.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, that's what I thought, but I wasn't sure if the new user would be needing the install disc/USB to finish setting up or if all that info would be dumped on the HDD so that the computer could do it without.

Thanks.

I have another question. I might be selling the iMac G5 I fixed, so I am putting in a clean install of Panther, which is a 3 disc set. The installer used discs 1 and 2, but then it never asked for disk 3 and went straight to the initial setup process, so I just did a forced shutdown. Is the 3rd disk only needed if you archive the previous installation of OS X?
