Question :P

Shadyss

Is Pitcairn and Curaco the same? I heard that Curaco is just a renamed Pitcairn. (or the other way around idk)

On AMD's websites it says 7870 is compatible with a 270x in CrossfireX, but this confuses me because not all 270x's and 7870's are Pitcairn and not all of them are Curaco either...

I have no idea what I'm doing

I might be wrong, but I'm sure it only needs to same core to Crossfire.

Even if it is made by a different company the core is still the same so will allow Crossfire.

It's not a race to the bottom.

With a quick Google search, I'm pretty sure Curacao is just a different name for Pitcairn. Kind of like how Grenada is a different name for Hawaii.

Yeah that's what I found but I couldn't find a lot of info on it for me to take it as credible.
