That seems to be a good chip, 4.5 @ 1.25v isn't bad at all.

Can you lower it at all without causing instabilities?

Obscenely good, assuming it's actually stable.

the thing is chrome seems like it is opening slower cause the voltage is smaller than before

Have you tried stress testing it with things like intel extreme tuning utility?

It has a built in stress test that's quite helpful for making sure everything is stable.

also any adjustments?

Please keep it CPU related in this thread! Graphics card questions are for an other part of the forum. ;)

Just a tip, GPU overclcoking failure will not cause BSOD, but a graphics card driver failure instead.

If your system has BSOD soon after launching AIDA64, then you are a long way from the right voltage. Try 1.27V and see how it goes. If it is still not stable, I would go in increments on 0.05V to fine tune it. Also stress-test for a minimum of 12h, with 18h being your actual goal.

As analog put it, you need to stress it for a minimum of 12 hours. It took me a good few days to get a stable/balanced overclock on my 5820k.. I got to the position where I couldn't decrease the voltage on this overclock or  increase temp any higher. My choice was between this or 1.25 for 4.5ghz.
