When i first built my PC, my CPU wasn't getting cooled well enough so it was over heating, and it gave me a bsod.
While i was installing some case fans i broke a blade off of my CPU fan. Since it had 9 total blades, i broke off two more blades to even them out.
I haven't had any over heating issues now but every time i put my CPU under moderately high stress it crashes and gives me the same bsod.
My brother seems to think that it is a fault chip but i just wanted to ask here for some extra input.

Here is my build:

AMD FX8350 black edition

asus m5a97 r2.0
asus gtx 750ti oc
coolermaster 550w
8gb kingston ram

And here is the bsod that i am getting

well get a decent cooler, a hyper 212 is cheap and will do the trick

but in the long run, plz switch to intel, wait for a skylake i5 or i3, that would be ideal

I'm using core temp. it usually never says i go past 60c at the very very most. i only get to 50c under moderate load

what are u using to stress test? and what are the temps on individual cores? not the package?

i haven't stress tested it with an actual program yet because i didn't think it would be a good idea with the broken fan and all. I was going to wait until to got a new cooler before i ran it through any actual test.

That being said, i was streaming starcraft 2, and  i was running at about 50-70% cpu load when my pc crashed.

what were the actual temps on the cores? not the package. starcraft 2 only uses like 2 cores and it could have put some heavy load on those cores. try a new cpu cooler or call ur mobo dead. those are really the only things that could be wrong if that's all that has changed.

I don't know the individual temps on the cores but do you think it would be safe to recreate the situation and cause my pc to overheat on purpose just to get some data?

or should i just wait to get a new cpu cooler and recreate it then?

no just get a heat sync. worst situation it dosent fix the problem and you can overclock a bit.
