Help Deciding on a GPU

Looking at GPU upgrade now. Currently have a 650 ti boost reference. I got about 250$ for a GPU upgrade. What card should i go with?

get an r9 290 :) OR sell the 650 ti boost for like 100 and get a 970

actually i think you should upgrade your cpu first. sell your mobo and gpu and cpu in a combo for 250 and get a i5 4440 and and a cheap mobo. THEN use the 250 to buy an r9 290. this is your best option

Yup, if i could i would buy your gpu for 100 bucks but sadly im broke at the moment. buy ebay is good.

sell your current gpu for about $100 or something like that and get a EVGA GTX 970

If you have a beefy power supply and don't mind a heater in your room, R9 290 would be a good choice.

Other than that you'd need a good PSU if you go down the R9 route.  A good quality PSU should be about $100.

 

For $250 I would just say go with a 960.  It's perfect for 1080p gaming.
