I recently bought the Dell Inspiron 3847 with hopes to upgrade it into a powerful gaming computer. Heres my current specs

Motherboard: Dell 088dt1

CPU: Intel I5 4460

Memory: Generic 8gb ddr3 ram

HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB 6GB/s 7200rpm

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R7 265

PSU: EVGA New Version SuperNOVA 80+ Bronze 750w

Case: Default Dell Inspiron 3847

Mouse: DELL Genuine Original Alienware

Keyboard: Wired Dell Keyboard dp/n ON8WF8

Monitor Samsung S22C300

Headset: None

Speakers: Logitech X-230

That is my current setup and I need help for what to upgrade next. I recently got the GPU and PSU and i'm looking at my computer to upgrade and not peripherals, My budget currently is tight at around $100 per item and not $200-$300 for a Ram stick. Although CPU has an exception. Can anyone help me turn this into a great gaming rig?

Grab yourself an SSD. Depending on where you are (US, CA, AU) 100 may be plenty or not enough.. let us know..

Either way a 120 / 240 GB OCZ Arc 100 or Samsung Evo or Crucial Mx200/Bx200 are your best drives in price to performance.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

1. You should have saved up more on the GPU because I am sure that is not a huge upgrade if you spent $100 on it like you said you can spend on everything else.

2. Mouse and Keyboard makes me wanna throw up (and if you aren't upgrading those...why include them?)

3. Maybe a new case so you wouldn't have to worry about clearance issues, etc.

4. New MoBo so you know all compatibility.

5. More storage and possible SSD

6. Keep investing for a GPU and get a 970/290x.

But Without the GPU I would have been running on integrated graphics
