Desk Mic Recommendations?

Currently using a clip-on microphone (zalman) and was looking for alternatives.

 

Anyone use the Blue Snowball? How close would I have to be for people on Skype (i.e.) to hear me talk?

 

Normally I sit about 4 feet away from where I'd probably have it sitting on my desk.

 

Thoughts? Comments? Criticism?

i use the blue snowball and its pretty good, but it picks up everything

Well, considering I am alone in my office -- with a only a few windows open (birds chirping).

 

Should be fine, no?
