Hey as the title says im having some problems with my GPU. Im running an r9-280x, specifically the HIS iPower IceQ X² Turbo Boost. In some games, mostly higher end newer games like witcher 3.

When i first got it it was running at over 50fps all the time and 100% GPU utilization, according to MSI Afterburner. But recently it been going at between 30 and 40fps with lots fluctuation to the utilization. Ive changes nothing at all. Including my OC on the card and cpu (g3258 @ 4.9MHZ).

My usual overclock  on the GPU is 1210MHZ on the core and 1650MHZ on the memory with no voltage adjustment.

My Temps remain around 60 C not bad at all. I close all tasks before

Check if other processes are running.

Look at your cpu load and hard disk activity.

Look for antivirus or malware utilities that may be running.  Turn them off or disable them.

Temperature increase?

launching games so 100% of the hardware is focused on only gaming.

atl tab out of the game and look at your task manager.  Click on process and sort by cpu and memory usage.  The game you're running should be using most of it.  If you see something else that's soaking up cpu and memory usage, kill them.  Unless their essential windows processes.

Besides the game running AVG, AMD Catalyst control and MSI Afterburner are the only other things running.

Kill AVG!  I hate that fucking piece of MALWARE shit.  I used to be cheap and would run their av.  Later on I found out that some Malware got in under the covers of AVG.
