If it's a "standard" PCIe SSD then yes, however if it's an NVMe drive then no.

 

edit: Yes, it will work, even with an NVMe drive. Apparently it's only supported with Z97 and X99 as a boot drive currently, but they got it working with an Asus A88X here: http://www.pcper.com/news/General-Tech/Intel-SSD-750-Series-PCIe-Compatibility-Tested

i have a pci ssd and I was wondering if the asus a88x-plis mobo is able to take that type of ssd(pci ssd)

 

Yes, you have two PCI-E slots on the motherboard and as long as you don't already have two GPU's or another card taking that second PCI-E slot.
