This is my current plan but i need to bring the price down and would also like some recommendations on a better mobo  :) this will be for gaming and trying to make a bit future proof hence the 960

A 960 4GB is a pointless card as it can't even use all 4GB.

 

If you're really concerned about VRAM go with a 290 or something like that.

A 960 4GB is a pointless card as it can't even use all 4GB.

 

If you're really concerned about VRAM go with a 290 or something like that.

you are wrong as in the future games may have more to render aka kinda like in the future cpus may need more than 8 gigs of ram

In the future cards are going to require more sheer horse power as much or more than they will require higher RAM capacities. If he were to get a 4k monitor for example he'd see a very minor improvement versus a normal 960 just because the GPU itself isn't strong enough to run resolutions that demand more than 2GB of RAM.

somewhat true but i will say 960 with 4gb playing gta is way better than 2gb version

You'd really only see a like ~5fps difference. It's more worth it to just get a higher end card around that price point like an R9 290.
